About Us
Since 2012, the Hellenic Liver Patient Association, Prometheus works tirelessly to bridge inequities between patients and the healthcare system, especially for vulnerable and marginalized populations such as the elderly, refugees, substance users, and prisoners. Through continuous actions and advocacy, Prometheus has succeeded in highlighting liver diseases as a priority on the country’s political agenda. As a result of these efforts, there has been a noticeable improvement in the quality of life for people living with liver diseases, as well as a reduction in social and healthcare inequalities. Prometheus’ mission is clear: to ensure that all people, regardless of socioeconomic status, have equal access to prevention, early diagnosis, and appropriate healthcare. Aiming to reduce social inequalities, the organization continues to raise its voice in support of patients and the empowerment of their rights.
The Role
The Communications Coordinator plays a pivotal role in crafting and implementing Prometheus’ communication strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and goals. The role involves managing internal and external communications, amplifying Prometheus’ voice across multiple platforms, engaging stakeholders, and promoting fundraising efforts.
We seek a motivated professional with a passion for storytelling, relationship building, and advocacy. This role is ideal for someone who excels at creating impactful campaigns, enjoys dynamic collaboration, and can bring innovative approaches to our communications and outreach efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Communications Strategy
- Design and implement Prometheus’ overall communications strategy.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
Content Creation
- Craft compelling content, including press releases, blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and donor reports.
- Collaborate with program teams to highlight stories and results.
Brand Management
- Strengthen Prometheus’ brand identity through consistent messaging and visuals.
- Ensure alignment of communication materials with the organization’s mission and vision.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, partners, and media outlets.
- Organize and oversee community engagement initiatives, including public campaigns and events.
Digital Strategy
- Lead social media planning and execution across platforms.
- Use analytics tools to track engagement and adjust strategies for maximum impact.
Support for Fundraising Initiatives
- Collaborate closely with the fundraising team to develop campaigns that inspire donor participation.
- Assist in preparing donor presentations, proposals, and promotional materials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in communications, media relations, or public outreach.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
- Proficiency in social media management, content creation tools, and analytics platforms. Proficiency in AI and Canva is a must.
- Strong organizational & storytelling skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative spirit and a proactive, results-driven approach.
